Research and Planning: Front Cover Continued

This is the next step of my magazine. I have started to add some more element to the cover to try and fill the empty spaces.  At the moment I am not happy with the way it is looking. I am going to be making big changes to my cover including the colour scheme, enlarging the image and changing the effect on the image.  We both look two pale and we don't stand out as much as we should.

Their hasn't been much changes from the last session on this magazine cover due to my concentration being in other areas.  I am just trying to get more going on the page to try and catch the eye of my viewers.

This is the progress on my magazine. I am slowly making changes to try and get a good look for my genre.

This is the progress that I have made so far on my magazine.  This is a early stage of my design.  Nothing is set in stone because I don't have a real direction with the magazine at the moment.  I am open to change off my fellow class mates, I will be getting some feed back on this soon off them.

 These are some of the pictures that I took for my front cover for my magazine Showcase.  I needed a simple picture of me looking cocky and wes looking normal. This is to try and meet the genre of the film and the story line

This is the image that I will be using for the front cover.  I have made it darker and gave me and Wes a touch but using the spot healing tool.

This magazine cover will be for the production of my trailer 'Traffic' so I am trying to keep a simple look to the magazine to keep in touch with the social realist genre of my production.

These are some possible tag lines that I could have for my film.  In a social realist film you need to have something short and sweet to make it seem real but at the same time you don't want it to seem cheesy.

This is some of the ideas that I have had about my color scheme that I will be implementing on my magazine.  A few of them are my ideas and then the bottom one is the color scheme that is used for all of the Shifty advertising so that could be a possible one to alter.

This is me asking for feedback on my colour scheme for my magazine. I wasn't happy with the style of the magazine I had so I asked for feedback on my colour scheme.  

Research and Planning: Feed Back Comments

The group was able to guess the genre easily, most people got the idea that the film was based around drugs and a few got the idea of it being a UK social realist.  Some comments were to try and make it a bit clearer of the genre.  A lot of people said about the film being a Urban film which is something that we were going for as well. 

A lot of people commented on the style of the way that we edited the opening sequence, with the use of hand held cameras following up close. 
The sound was a positive comment and what we used is something that we will be able to make on garage band.  The story line was a positive comment also. 'Will look good when all is filmed and completed'

On the other hand some of the comments were talking about how we need to experiment with the music because it doesn't fit the style.
We also need to speed the editing up to make it more action packed.

Research and Planning: Location

I have found a location that will be a lot easier for everyone to access, it is about a 5 minute bus journey from my college and a few people who we are planning on using in our film live in this area.
