Hello and welcome to my A2 Blogger for my work in my second year at college.

Research and Planning: Proposals

Proposals

Idea 1
Two young lads get involved with drug and they take a few bad paths which lead them into trouble.

Mise-en-scene:
-Quite streets which are capable to run down.
-Abandoned houses, scruffy houses.
-Public places.
-Street corners which are quite.
-Regular clothing for costumes.

Editing:
-Fast Paced editing to show peek moments.
-Long uncut editing showing moments of the story line.
-No special effects as this film is a social realist.
-Simple editing transitions used.

Sound:
-Tension building music for confrontations in the film.
-Fast paced music for things like chase scenes.
-A mix of diegitic and non diegitic.
-The diegitic sounds will be used to add realism to the film.

Cinematography:
-POV shots to show some realistic view points and confrontation moments.
-High angles to show who is the dominate person in tension building moments.
-We Will be using a mix of tripods and hand held camera use because we feel it will create a mix of a movie feel to it and also a realistic feel to the film when we are using the handheld camera.

 
Idea 2
Two young lads and a few friends go into the woods late one night.  Not surprisingly things take a turn for the worst.

Mise-en-scene:
-Dark, empty open space like woods and quite homes/college which you are able to film without being disturbed. 
-Regular clothing for costumes.

Editing:
-Fast paced editing to show peeks in the story line.
-Slow paced editing to show interesting points in the story line.
-Uncut editing to build suspense for the audience.
-Simple jump and straight cuts.
-Fade to black and whites, screen flashes will be used to create different effects for the viewer. 

Sound:
-Tension building music to build the suspense.
-Mix of diegitic and non diegitic.
-Music will create a realistic feel and also a paranormal feel to it. 

Cinematography
-POV to create a 1st person view. Creates realism to the film.
-Lots of long shots to show not normal activity in the background.
-We Will be using a mix of tripods and hand held camera use because we feel it will create a mix of a movie feel to it and also a realistic feel to the film when we are using the handheld camera.
